Design Ideas and Intentions

Through experimentation with colour, texture, lighting and space, my intentions for this design are to create a contemporary hypothetical environment that intrigues and excites its viewers. Encompassing the themes and central ideas of protection and security, the square stacked limbs of my design act as a form of defensive security, protecting the central jewel in the nucleus of the environment. The aim of this project is to successfully inhabit a space, so in presenting my final design, I intend to create a sense of journey and immersion in the environment from the point of view of the audience. Their exploration should be fascinating and intriguing as they work their way through the layers of space to find the ultimate jewel.
